We will pay you an hourly wage while in training to become a Certified Nursing Assistant
We provide the opportunity to be paid while attending training
We provide an accelerated three week course where you will receive class room training and hands on experience.
No prior health care experience is required
You can also feel confident that you will have employment following training with Avalon Health Care!
Once you have completed the course your responsibilities as a CNA will include but are not limited to
Assist residents with their activities of daily living
Assist residents with dressing and grooming according to their needs
Bathe residents with attention to privacy, respecting dignity and providing a safe and relaxing experience
Properly use and maintain facility equipment
Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure
Apply proper lifting and transferring techniques
Ensure residents are given correct diet
Use proper feeding techniques while respecting personal dignity
High school graduate or equivalent GED preferred but not required
Ability to commit to the duration of the training program
Compassion and empathy towards others
Willingness to help others including co workers
Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English
Ability to perform the physical demands of the position
Ability to maintain regular attendance
